MEETING OF APRIL 19, 1957.
A speciK meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the office of
Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Friday, April 19, 1957. The
meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill , Clark and
Demarest , Town Attorney Terry, Building Inspector Howard M. Terry and
Town Clerk Booth.
The purpose of this meeting was pertaining to the Building Zone Ordinance .
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the resignation of Robert W. Gillispie? Jr. as a member
of the Planning Board of the Town of Southold, effective as of April
17, 1957, be. accepted by the Town Board, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Board does hereby express its greatful apprec-
iation to Mr. Gillispie for the excellent work performed by him as a
member of the Planning Board of the Town of Southold.of the Town of
Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman hlbertson;
Justices Tuthill , Clark' and' Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the resignation of SebgetJV.Doyen, Jr. as a member of
the planning Board of the Town of Southold, effective as of April 181
1957, be accepted by the Town Board, and be it further .
RESOLVED: That the Town Board does hereby express its greatful apprec-
iation to Mr. Doyen for the excellent work performed ley him as a
member of the Planning Board of the Town of Southold.
Vote of Town• Board: Aues-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill , Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; .seconded' by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the following are the assessed fees , established under
the Building Zone Ordinance:
Building permits on new structure ---610000
Accessories on buildings & alterations----$ 5.00 (except in cases of
applications under the Multiple Resident Law where fees have been
otherwise° provided for) .
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Albertson:
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the persons hereinafter named be , and they
hereby ,are , pursuant to the provisions of Section 267 of the Town Law
of the State of New york, appointed members of the BOARD OF APPEALS
of the Town of Southold, in the County of Suffolk, State of New York,
for the terms set opposite their respective names:
Serge J. Doyen, Jr. -----------for a term of one. year from the date hereof.
Charles J. Grigonis , Jr.------for a term of two years from the date hereof.
Herbert Rosenberg---------for a term of three years from the date hereof.
Robert L. Bergen-------for a term of four years from the date hereof.
Robert W. Gillispie , Jr.----for a term of five years from the date hereof.
and it is FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Robert W. Gillispie , Jr. be and he here-
by is designated the Chairman of such BOARD OF APPEALS.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.,
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Demarest:
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT HOWARD M. TERRY be and he hereby is appointed
BUILDING INSPECTOR of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York
and he is hereby given the .power and authority to enforce the provisions
of "The Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
New York" , for the term beginning April 23 , 1957, and termination Jan.
1 , 1958.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Adjournment was at 9:30 P.M.
