Re: LWRP Coastal Consistency Review for MARILYN PYMM IRREVOCABLE FAMILY TRUST

Kristin Trovitch on behalf of MARILYN PYMM IRREVOCABLE FAMILY TRUST requests a Wetland
Permit to install 84 linear feet of stone rip-rap with 30' installed to the north and 54' installed to the
south using 200-500 pound stone on filter cloth; backfill of rip-rap with dredge spoil to be planted
with Cape American beach grass at 18" on-center; dredge a 30'x85' area to -4' below Mean Low
Water yielding approximately 580 cubic yards of spoil which will be placed above Mean High Water
along the southern point for beach nourishment. Located: 2504 Camp Mineola Road Extension,
Mattituck. SCTM# 10007122-9-7.25
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of-the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the proposed action is INCONSISTENT with LWRP Policy 6.3 and therefore, INCONSISTENT with
the LWRP.
4.1 Minimize losses of human life and structures from flooding and erosion hazards.
The use of vegetation only to control erosion is recommended to further policy 4.
B. Use vegetative non-structural measures to manage flooding and erosion hazards.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
