Supervisor Homan opened the meeting -at 10.:-00 A.M. with the following present: Supervisor James Homan Councilman William R. Pell III Councilman John J. Nickles Justice Frederick J. Tedeschi Town Clerk Judith T. Terry Absent: Councilman Henry W. Drum Justice Francis T. Doyen On motion of Councilman Pell, seconded by Councilman Nickles, it was RESOLVED that the following audited bills be and hereby are ordered paid: General Fund Whole Town bills in the amount of $20, 826. 46; General Fund Part Town bills in the amount of $8, 895. 26; Highway Department bills in the amount of $33, 910. 81; Fishers Island Ferry District bills in the amount of $32, 773. 99; Special Assessment Fund bills in the amount of $4 ,205. 57; and Federal Revenue Sharing bills in the amount of $475. 89. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Justice Tedeschi, it was RESOLVED that $331. 57 be and hereby is transferred from General Fund Whole Town Dog Warden A3520. 4 to General Fund Whole Town Traffic Control A3310. 4; and $7431. 41 be and hereby is transferred from General Fund Whole Town Contingent A1990. 4 to General Fund Whole Town Environmental Control A8090. 4 - $19. 86 and General Fund Whole Town Disposal Area A8160. 4 - $7411. 55. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Justice Tedeschi , Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Supervisor Homan, seconded by Councilman- Nickles, it was RESOLVED that Margaret L. Conway be and she hereby is appointed Personal Secretary to the Supervisor effective September 1, 1979 at a salary of $6, 000. 00 per year. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman .Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman Pell, seconded by Councilman Nickles, it was RESOLVED that Patricia Syph.er be and she hereby is appointed. School Crossing Guard for the Greenport School effective September. 10,. .1979. at a salary of $20 .00 per day. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Justice Tedeschi, seconded by Councilman Nickles, it was RESOLVED that Jacqueline Baker be and she hereby is appointed Clerk- Typist- from the Suffolk County Civil Service List effective September 15, 1979, at a salary of $5,500 per annum. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. Councilman Pell, it was RESOLEVED that Robert Hood be and he hereby is appointed School Corssing Guard for the Town of Southold. Vote of' the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Justice Tedeschi, it was RESOLVED that Gail R. Bleil be and she hereby is appointed Dog warden from the Suffolk County Civil Service List effective September 15, 1979, at a salary of $7,500. 00 per annum. Vote of the Town Board: ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supery isor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Supervisor Homan, seconded by Councilman Nickles, it was RESOLVED that Metro Plumbing East be 'paid $3141. 00 from HUD funds for work completed at the Senior Citizen and, Youth Center, Peconic. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman trum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Justice Tedeschi , it was RESOLVED that Strathmore Construction• Corp. be paid $18, 509. 87 from HUD funds fro work completed at the Senior Citizen and Youth Center, Peconic. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion. of Supervisor Homan, seconded by Justce. 'Tedeschi, it was RESOLVED that the bond No. 73 S 16083 BCA of Martin Suter in--the amount of $200, 000 a.s Deputy Supervisor, Town of Southold be and hereby is approved as to its form, sum, manner of execution and uufficiency of surety therein. Vote of- the Town Board: Aye.s: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent; Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Supery a,or. Homan, 'it was RESOLVED that the bond No. 73 S. 16086 BCA of Martin Suter in the amount of $15, 000. as Deputy. Supervisor, Custodian of Fishers Island Ferry District Funds- be and hereby is approved as to its form, sum, manner of execution and sufficiency of surety therein. Vote of the 'Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared .duly adopted. On motion of Supervisor Homan, seconded by Counciaman Pell, it was RESOLVED that the bond No. 73 S. 16084 BCA of Frederick J. Tedeschi. in the amount of $4 , 000. as Town Justice,' Town of Southo.ld;s'be and hereby is approved as to its form, sum, manner of exeuction and sufficiency of Surety therein. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan. Absent; 'Counci:lman. Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. Building Inspector Curtis Horton discussed with the. Board a recent visit to the Town Hall by Rok-.Temp Maintenance Corp of Rockville Center relative to the heating and air conditioning system in the Town Hall. On motion of Justice Tedeschi, seconded by Councilman Nickles, it was RESOLVED that Supervisor James Homan be and- he hereby i.s directed to engage the services of Rok-�Tem'p.M.ai,ntenance :Corp. , .511 Morris Avenue, Rockville Centre, New York to. conduct an energy survey of the heating and air conditioning system .at the 'Southo.ld Town Hall. Vote. of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Supervisor Homan, Absent: Councilman Drum, Justice Doyen. This resolution was declared duly adopted. 341 7 1979 On motion of Councilman Pell, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that there being no further business to come before this Town Board meeting adjournment be called at 10: 45 A.M.
