Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was RESOLVED that Salvadore Crimi be and he hereby is appointed Police Patrolman of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, for a probationary period beginning June 1, 1973 , and ending June 1, 1974, and be it further RESOLVED that Salvadore Crimi will serve in the capacity of Police Patrolman at the pleasure of the Town Board unless otherwise provided for by law, and be it further RESOLVED that the compensation during this probationary period be fixed at $8700. 00, payable in semi-monthly payments effective as of June 1, 1973 . Moved by Councilman Rich-, seconded by Justice Zuter;' it was , RESOLVED that the Town Board-hold their recommendation on the Planning Board' s amendments to the Rules- and Regulations for the Subdivision of Land until the Planning Board minutes are received by all Town Board members and studied. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that, -Supervisor- Martocchia be and he' hereby is authorized to advertise for bids to sell the 1960 Dog Warden truck. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that these Revenue Sharing; Funds 344 be used for the. building of a new Town Hall, and road improvements. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes ; Supervisor. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board accept the low bid of Valley Bank of New York at 3 .40% for a $74, 100 Bond Anticipation_ Note, to be issued by the Town of Southold, dated May 4, 1973 , for a one year period. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Justice Demarest,, WHEREAS Oscar Goldin applied to the Town Board for. a single trailer renewdl permit dated April 10, 1973 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the application of Oscar Goldin to locate a single trailer on Lot No. 60, Greenport Driving Park, Linnet Street, Greenport, New York, be and hereby is granted, fo.r. a period of six (6) months. Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of ' Southold be authorized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsible bidder, the following: As many Speed Zone signs and posts that will be necessary to impld.meri_b new speed control through- _ out the Town of Southold. Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was RESOLVED that .the Southold Town Board sign an approved amendment agreement for extension to April 30, 1973 of the grant and project periods of Highway Safety Project Grant No. AL 71-0257 (001) entitled "Traffic Enforcement Assistance, Part II" as follows : "A M E N D M E N T The AGREEMENT dated July 1, 1971 and bearing Comptroller ' s Contract C57224 between the Town of Southold and the Governor of the State of New York acting for the State of New York is hereby amended as follows : 1. The period shown in box 5 (June 1, 1971 - May 31, 1972) representing the period covered by the National Highway Safety Bureau Obligation is deleted and the following substitution therefor : 2. FROM_-,_;,� J&nbhl, 1197-1 TO: April 30, 1973. 2. A copy of the letter dated April 4, 1973 from the Coordinator, Interdepartmental Traffic Safety Committee, is hereby added to and made a part of this AGREEMENT. Grigonis, Southold, : New York, has made application to the Town Board to- dedicate certain roads at Southold, New York, to be known as "JERNICK LANE" , "HARPER ROAD WEST" , "PECK PLACE" , and Drainage Area and that portion of "GRIGONIS PATH" extending from its northerly terminus to its : intersection' with "JERNICK LANE", together with release executed by the owner thereof, and WHEREAS the Southold Town. Highway Superintendent has inspected the said highways and has advised the Town• Board that •said .prpposed highways comply in all respects with the specifications'.for the . dedication of highways in. the:-Town .of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED that in-accordance with - Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, consent be and the same is given to the Superintendent of Highways to make an order laying out ,the aforesaid highways and drainage area, to: consist- of- lands described in said .application jas -shown on certain maps attached to said application, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded1by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that the public hearing '.set for May 8, 1973 at 3 :30 P.M. on "An ordinance to provide for partial- tax exemption of real property owned by certain persons with limited income who are 65 years of age or over, pursuant to Section 467 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York" be recessed to May 15, 1973 at 7 :30 ° P.M. ; due to certain changes being made by the State and Federal' government. Vote of the Town -Board: Ayes : Supervisor Mattocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest, Justice Doyen. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Rich, WHEREAS- John B. Tuthill of ..Orient, New York, has -submitted to this Board -proposed agreements' involving three parcels :of land at Orient, New York,. owned by the said. John B. .T.uthill: .upon which-. the said John B. Tutthill proposes to grant to the Town of Southold scenic and/or conservation easements, and WHEREAS, the Board has examined the proposed agreements: and believes that it is in the public interest to acquire the easements: proposed by the said John B. Tuthill effecting the real .property., described in said agreements, and WHEREAS,. Section 247 of, the: General Municipal .Law provides .that this Board shall hold a public .hearing with. respect to said grants of easements, • .347 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearin g will be held by this Board at the Supervisor' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York on the 15th day of May, 1973, at 8:00 P.M. in the matter of the grant of scenic and/or conservation easements by John B. Tuthill to the Town of Southold in accordance with the aforesaid agreements presented to this Board, and it is further RESOLVED that the Town Clerk cause notice of such hearing -to be published in accordance with law.
