SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD
OCTOBER 27, 1981

A Special Meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at
4 :30 P.M. , Tuesday, October 27, 1981 at the Southold Town Hall,
Main Road, Southold, New York.
Present : Supervisor William R. Pell, III
Councilman Henry W. Drum
Councilman John J. Nickles
Councilman Lawrence Murdock, Jr.
Councilman Francis J. ,Murphy
Town Clerk Judith T. Terry
Absent : Justice Francis T. Doyeil
Supervsior Pell explained that this meeting was called to reject
the bids for the weatherization of the Senior/Youth Center, Peconic.
Due to the defect in the advertisement of the bide, Pan Tech Energy
Systems .failed to notify bidders that they must attend the walk
through on October 19th at 10 : 30 A.M. to be eligible to bid. Secondly,
Pan Tech advised bidders that bids. would also be accepted at . their
office in. Babylon. The legal notice specified that bids would only
be received by the Southold Town Clerk for opening at 10 : 30 A.M. ,
Monday, October 26th.
On motion of Councilman Drum, seconded by Councilman Murdock, it was .
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold rej"ect the
bids of C.P.Chemical.-Company, Inc. , and J.P: Hunter .Co. for the
weatherization of the Senior/Youth Center, Peconic Lane, Peconic,
New York. The bid packages :for this project were accidently
prepared and published incorrectly.
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Councilman Murphy, Councilman
Murdock, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Drum, Supervisor Pell.
This resolution was declared duly adopted.
On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Councilman Murphy, it was
R,ESOL'VED -`that, the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes
Pan Tech Energy Systems to prepare specifications for Weatherizaton
measures at the Senior/Youth Center, " Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York,
and the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for same.
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Councilman Murphy, Councilman
Murdock, Councilman Nickles , Councilman Drum, Supervisor Pell.
This resolution was declared duly adopted.
On motion of Supervisor Pell, seconded by Councilman Murdock, it was
RESOLVED that there being no further business to come before this
Town Board meeting adjournment be called at 4 :40 P.M.
Vote .of the Town Board: Ayes : Councilman Murphy, Councilman
Murdock, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Drum, Supervisor Pell.
This resolution was declared duly adopted.
