MEETING OF- NOVEMBER 20, 1956.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor. Norman E.
Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, November 20, 1956. The meeting
was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest; -Superinten-
dent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
'Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby
are duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: dyes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
will be held .at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Green-
port, on Tuesday, December 4, 1956, at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed- to
request the -Long Island Lighting Company to install three (3)
additional 100 cp aerial street lights in the Cutchogue- .New -
Suffolk Lighting District, said lights to be placed on Proles #121
#1 5 and #17,, on Stillwater Avenue, Cutchogue.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Kuthill, Clark
and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That James Fitzpatrick be and he hereby is appointed
permanent Police� Patrolman (Constable). fo'r the Town of Southold,'
effective as- of November 24, 1956.
Vote of T own Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Jusrice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Bond No. S38686,, issued by the Travelers Indemnity
Company in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars (659000.00) on. behalf
of Alice Treadwell Oswald be and the same is hereby approved as to
its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

At a regular meeting of the Town Board . of the Town of Southold
Suffolk County, New York, held at Greenport, in said .Town, on
the 20th day- of November, 1956, at 1:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.
The meeting was called to :order by Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor, aid
the roll being called, 'there were
PRESENT: Supervisor, Norman E. Klipp, Justices Ralph W. Tuthill,
Henry A. Clark and Louis M. Demarest.
.ABSENT: Councilman Lester M. Albertson and Justice E. Perry Edwards.
The following resolution was offered by 'Justice Tuthill, who moved
its adoption, seconded by Justice Clark, to wit:
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
New York, by a bond resolution dated June 12, 19569 ,authorized the
issuance of $45,000 serial bonds for the acquisition of certain
real property in and for the Mattituck Park District in said Town:
and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to provide for the details and authorize
the sale of such bonds and to provide for other matters in connection
therewith; NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, by the Town Board of the Town of Southold , Suffolk County,
New York, "a s follows:
Section 1. The serial bonds described in the preamble hereof shall
each be designated substantially MATTITUCK PARK DISTRICT (SERIAL)
BOND, 1956, shall be dated October 1, 1956, 'of the denomination of
$1,000 each, numbered from 1 to 45 both inclusive, maturing in
numerical order in the amount of $�,000 on October 1 in each of the
years 1957 to 1971, both inclusive, and $3,000 on October l .in each
of the years 1972 to 1976, both inclusive, and shall bear interest
at a rate not exceeding five per centum per annum, payable semi-
annually on April 1 and October 1.

Such bonds shall be in bearer coupon form with the privilege of
conversion into bonds registered as to both principal and interest
and shall be payable as to both principal and interest in lawful
money of the United States of America at First National Bank
in Greenport, New York, D9MxXQ7X, which by contrast
is the paying agent of the issuer. Such bonds shall be signed in
the name of said Town of Southold by its Supervisor, sealed with
its corporate seal, attested by its Town Clerk and the interest
coupons shall bear the facsimile signature of said Supervisor.
Section 2.' All other matters , except as provided herein relating
to such bonds , shall be determined by the Supervisor of said Town
of Southold, Such bonds shall contain substantially the recital of
validity clause provided for in Section 52.00 of the Local Finance
Law and shall otherwise be in such form and contain such recitals ,
in addition to those required by Section 51.00 of the Local Finance
Law, as the Supervisor shall determine.
Section -3. It is hereby determined that subdivision 21 of paragraph
a of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law applies to such object
or purpose and that the period of probable use thereof is
thirty years, computed from August 2, 1956, the date .of the eaaliest
bond anticipation note issued in anticipation of the sale of bonds.
Section 4. The faith and credit of the Town of Southold Suffolk
County, New Yvrk, are hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment
of said bonds-and the interest thereon. To pay said bonds and the
interest thereon, there shall annually be levied' and assessed against
the taxable real, property of said Park District, and collected in
the -same manner,, at the same time, and by the same officers as the
taxes of said Town are levied, assessed and collected, an amount . .
sufficient to pay such principal and interest as the same respect
ively become due and payable, but if not paid from. such .source, .all
the taxable real property. within the Town will be subject to the
levy of ad valorem taxes to pay said bonds and interest thereon .
without limitation as . to rate or amount.
Section 5. The powers and duties of advertising such bonds for sale,
conducting the sale and awarding the bonds, are herehy delegated to
the Supervisor, who shall advertise xxd the bonds for sale, conduct
the sale and award the bonds in such manner as he shall deem best
. for the interests of said Town of Southold, provided, however, that
in the exercise of these delegated powers, he shall comply fully
with the provisions of the Local Finance Law and any order or rule
of the State Comptroller applicable to the sale of municipal bonds.
The receipt of the Supervisor of said Town of Southold, shall be
a full acquittance to the purchaser of such bonds , who shall not
be obliged to see the' the application of the purchase money.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately. The question
of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly put to vote on
roll call, which resulted as follows: Norman E. Klipp, voting yes
Henry A. Clark, voting yes , Ralph W. Tuthill, voting yes , Louis M..
Demarest, voting yes, Lester M. Albertson, Councilman, absent.
The resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted.

New York, DO HEREBY CERTIFY:
That I have compared the annexed extract of- the minutes of 'the meet-
ing of the Town Board of said Town, including the resolution contain-
ed therein, held on the 20th day of November, 1956, with the original
thereof on file in my office and that the same is a true and correct
transcript therefrom and of the whole of said original so far as the
same relates to the subject matters therein referred to.
I further certify that all members of said Board had due notice of
said meeting.
