HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-10/01/1956 Meeting of October 1, 1956 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Monday, October 1, 1956. The meeting was called to order at 730 P-.M. with the following present; Supervisor Klipp, Councilman Albertson, Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest, Supt. of Highways Price, Town Attorney 'Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Town Clerk presented to the Town Board, pursuant to Section 111 of the Town Law, detailed estimates of revenue and expenditures from the various Town officers, departments and districts for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1957. Moved by Justice Demarest: seconded by Councilman Albertson- - . Wasolved That Jack O'C:onnel be' and he hereby is appointed -part time School Traffic Officer for the Orient School District, at the rate of Two Dollars and Fifty. Cents ($2.50) per day, and -be it further RESOLVED: That thft appointment take effect as of September 6,1956. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice. Clark: RESOLVED: That in accordance with the request of the Fishers Island Ferry District, Christian J. Marshall be and he hereby is appointed Jr. Clerk for the Fishers Island Ferry District, at a salary-.of. One Dollar and Twenty-five Cents ($1.25) per hour, payable monthly, and be it further RESOLVED: That the compensation shall not exceed the annual sum of. Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) and be -it further RESOLVED: That this appointment take effect as of September, 13 1956. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That a regular ,meeting 66 this Eoard will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Thursday, October 4, 1956, at 7:30 P.M. Vote of Town Board:Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman .Albertson, Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Adjournment was at 9 o'clock P.M.
