MEETING OF APRIL 10, 1956.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp
at Greenport, on Tuesday, April 10, 1956. The meeting was called to
order at 1:.30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Just-
ices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest, Councilman Albertson, Superintendent
of Highways Price, Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against
the Town concluding the audit work at' 2 o 'clock P.M.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice-, Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the_. revious. meeting.. be and hereby are
duly approved as read. r
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest; .Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be held
at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday,
April 24, 19567 at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark
and Demarest, Councilman Albertson. .
Moved by Councilman Albertson; Seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is empowered to place
a full page -advertisement in the 19th edition .of the Long Island "SUMMER
HOMELAND" , .pu lished by the L6hg Island .Association. The text of said
advertisement �o be determined and approved by the Supervisor.
Vote of Town oard: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is empowered to contact
Lester Moeller and arrange with him to trim .and cable the trees on the
Town Highways , at a cost not to exceed the sum of $750.00.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Harold Price, Supt. of Highways , be and he hereby is
authorized to advertise for bids on one new automobile in accordance
with a resolution which was duly adopted by the Town Board on December
6, 1955.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of March be accepted
by the Town Board and placed on file.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest; and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the General Bills in the amount of $6,983. 58; Lighting
District Bills in the amount of 1,455.85; Fishers Island Ferry District
Bills in the amount of $6, 586.22, be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
