The meeting was called to order at 1.:30 P.M. with. the following present: Supe.rvsior Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertuon,_ Clark and Demarest; .Superinten- dent of Highways Price; Town Attorney- Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit tb examine claims against the Town, concluding the Audit work at 2 P.M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby are. duly approved as read. Vote of Town Baa rd: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest.. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport , on Tuesday, January 25, 1955, at 1+30 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill , Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice .Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: EESOLVED: That Bond ,No. 05-541-339, issued by the American Surety Company in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) on behalf of E. Perry Edwards , be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, sum, manner of execution and . sufficiency of surety therein. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be designated to represent the Town of Southold at the annual meeting , of the Association of Towns of the State of New York, to be held at Buffalo , New York, on February 8th, 9th and loth, 1955, and to cast the vote of the aforesaid Town, pursuant to Section 6 of Artical 111 of the Constit- ution and By-Laws of said Association, and that Justice Henry A . Clark be designated as Alternate to cast the vote of said Town in the absence of Supervisor Klipp; Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson: RESOLVED: That Southold Town Officials that desire to attend the Annual meeting of the Association of Towns of the State of New York to be held at Buffalo, New York, on February 8th, 9th and loth, 1955, be and .they are hereby authorized to attend, and be it further RESOLVED: That the necessary expenses incurred while attending said meeting is a legal charge against the Town. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Ju;;tice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That Rensselaer G . Terry, Jr . , Town Attorney for the Town of Southold be and he hereby is authorized to attend the annual meeting of the Manicipal Law Section of the New York Bar Association, to be held at New York, N.Y. , on January 27th and 28th, 19559 also to attend the State Board of Equalization hearing at the New York Bar Association Building at 42 West 44th Street, New York, on January 28, 1955, and be it further RESOLVED: That the necessary expenses incurred while attending said meeting is a legal charge against the Town. Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill , Albertson, Clark and Demarest. r 216 Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Albertson: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approves the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District granting Ernest J. Bowles , Purser on the M. V. Mystic Isle , One Hundred Dollars (6100.00) annual increment, effective January 15, 1955, as authorized by resolution of the Board of Commissioners , dated January 12, 1953. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approved the contract entered into between the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District and Johnson and Williams , Accountants and Auditors , 56 State Street., New London, Connecticut, for accounting services for the period of January 1, 1955 to December 31, 1955, both dates inclusive. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justice Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That . the Southold Town Soard approves the contract made by the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District and Fishers Island Farms, Inc . for the U. S . Mail transfer and haul- age in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($$100.00) per month, from January 1, • 1955, to December 31, 1955, both dates inclusive. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approves the contract made by the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District and John Kaletchitz for the U. S . Mail transfer and. haulage in the amount of Forty-five Dollars ($45.00) per month, from January 1, 1955, to December 31 , 1955, both dates inclusive. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, .Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approves the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District on entering into a contract with the Department of Army for a certain parcel of land fronting on Silver Eel Cove , approximately 425' x 1251 together with buildings Nos . 50 and T-397, located at Fort H. G. Wtight, Fishers Island, New York, and including the non-exclusive use of certain access roads , all as shown in red on Exhibit A , which is a map showing Silver Eel Cove and vicinity, attached to and made part of the contract, in the amount of One Dollar ($1.00) for a period beginning October 1, 1954 to September 30, 19559 both dates inclusive. Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconded by Justice Albertson; RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $7,146.10, Town Trustee Bills in the amount of $$40.00, Lighting District Bills, in the amount of $1 58.93 , Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $$12,187.37, be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
