AUGUST 12, 1981 AT FISHERS ISLAND
A Special Meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals was held
on Zrsrednesday, August 12, 1981 at 1 : 15 p.m. at the Fishers Island School,
Fishers Island, New York 06390.
Present were: Serge Doyen, Jr. ; Robert J. Douglass; Gerard P.
Goehringer. Absent were: Charles Grigonis, Jr. , Chairman; Joseph H.
Sawicki.
The meeting was called to order at 1 : 15 o'clock p.m. (approx. ) .
Member Goehringer suggested the following budget recommendations
for fiscal year 1982:
$4,500.00 for each -Zoning Board of Appeals member
$61000.00 for the Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals
500.00 merit raise for secretary, ZBA
15.00 per inspection made by ZBA
$39000.00 in additional attorney's fees for additional legal
counsel.
Member Goehringer also suggested that there be a minimum of twenty (20)
inspections at $15 for Town Law 280 A requirements. He specified that
these should be made by Board of Appeals members or the Town Engineer.
There was discussion and agreement among the three Board members.

Southold Marine Center (Morris) , Appeal #2863. The Board discussed
scheduling this application for a public hearing and it was their con-
sensus that the appeal not be scheduled at this time pending the decision
of the Building Inspector as to whether or not he would be amending his
disapproval and requiring the applicant to file an additional appeal.

(Mr. Fisher was going to consult with the Town Attorney regarding his
proposed amendment to the disapproval. )
Joseph Czartosieski, Appeal No. 2867, 28689 2869. The Board
reviewed the three appeals of Joseph Czartosieski and the Board of
Appeals believes that before it may entertain this application for a
change in use, additional information is needed concerning the limit
of available area for outside storage of the cars proposed for sales,
and that the applicant be referred to the Planning Board for the
appropriate off-street parking requirements in these matters.
Being there was no other business to come before the Board, the
meeting was declared closed at 1 :35 o' clock p.m'. (approx. ) .
