MEETING OF JULY 271-' 1954.
The Southold Town Board mey at the office of Supervisor
Norman E. Klipp at Greenport' on Tuesday, July 27, 1954.
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the
following present:' Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest; Superintendent of High-
ways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be
and hereby are duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice .Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this
Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, August 10, 1954, at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board.: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
The Supervisor received a petition signed by residents
of Jest Greenport requesting the Town Hoard to have speed
limit signs reading 30 Miles per hour installed on Route
25 New York State Highway on the curve of the road west
of the Tydol Service Station and extend east to the In-
corporated Village of Greenport. The petition stated it is
a very dangerous area with autos traveling at a high rate
of speed.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E . Klipp be instructed to
take the matter up with the New York State Traffic
Commission.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Adjournment was at 4:45 P.M.
