MEETING OF JUNE �99 1954.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor ,
Norman E. Klipp, at Greenport, on Tuesday, June 29, 1954.
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson,
Clark and Demarest; Superintendent of Highways Price; Town
Attorney Terry and .Town Clerk Booth.
Moved by Justice .A} bertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and
hereby are duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board:Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this
Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, July 139 1954, at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and he here-
by is authorized to purchase the necessary amount of fence
to be erected at the bouthold Town Dump.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESOLVED: That Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor, be and he here-
by is authorized to make application toithe New York State
Youth Commission, Albany, Albany, New York, for the approval
of a recreation project for the Town of Southold for the
period from July l'- 1954, to June 30, 1955.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, The Southold Town Board has been advised by the
Cutchogue Fire District of the resignation of Stanley B.
Ambroski as Fire Department Inspector, and
WHEREAS The Cutchgoeu Fire Department has recommended
that Waiter Kaelin be appointed to fill the vacancy,
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That Walter Kaelin be and he hereby is appointed
Fire Department Inspector to serve in such capacity in the
Cutchogue Fire District until_ January 1, 1955, in accord-
ance with Article 8, Section 303 , Subdivision 4 of the
Multiple Resident Law.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESOLVED: That Richard Manwaring be and he hereby is appoint
ed Life Guard at the Southold Town Bathing Beach, to act in
such capacity seven days a week from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
and be it further
RESOLVED: That Richard Manwaring be compensated for such
service at the rate of $1.25 per hour and be it further
RESOLVED: That compensation for such service be made in
regular monthly payments , he to serve at the pleasure of
the Town Board.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

Moved' by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That Walter Sanford be and he hereby is appoint-
ed Assistant Laborer at the Southold Town Dump, to act in ,
such capacity seven days a week from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. ''
and be -it further
RESOLVED: That Walter danford be compensated for such service
at the rate of $$1.25 per hour, and be it further
RESOLVED: That compensation for such service be made in
regular monthly payments, he to serve at the pleasure of
the Town Board.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill'
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
