SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY,JULY 11, 2002
A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD OF APPEALS was held at
the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York 11971, at 6:30 p.m. on
Thursday, July 11, 2002.
Present were:
Gerard P. Goehringer, Chairman/Member
Lydia A. Tortora, Member
Vincent Orlando, Member
Paula Quintieri, Secretary
Absent were:
George Horning,Member
Ruth D. Oliva,Member.
6:45 p.m. Mr. Goehringer called the meeting to order.
AGENDA ITEM I: SEQRA. The Board proceeded with the agenda items, as follow:
STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW ACT: None declared at this time;
pending inspections and reviews regarding new applications.
AGENDA ITEM II. DELIBERATIONS/DECISION MATTERS, carried over from the
previous meeting calendars:
No decisions were rendered at this time, and the following items were carried over to
the July 25, 2002 calendar for possible decisions:
Appl. No. 5058— CHRISTINE KOSMYNKA AND ANN BURGER(formerly Leoniak
property). Received PB reply 7/1; ZBA hearing concluded 6/20.
Appl. No. 5068—GLENN and CHRISTINE DAWSON. 150 Broadwaters Road,
Cutchogue; 104.40-8. Hearing concluded 6/20.
Appl. No. 5072-J. CALLIS,ET AL. (Miller property). Hearing concluded 6/20.
Appl. No. 5099—MATTITUCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY. (Hearing concluded 5/16,
pending financial information from applicant.)

Appl. No. 5098—GEERT MARTENS AND R. MURRAY. (Received landscape plan
info on July 5th; hearing concluded 5/16).
AGENDA ITEM III. PUBLIC HEARINGS: The Chairman continued with the following
hearing (which was carried over from June 20, 2002 as a continuation). Please see hearing
record for discussions,prepared separately.
7:00 p.m. Appl. No. 5127—NEXTEL. (Hearing recessed from 6/20). Jacqueline Caputi,
attorney for NEXTEL appeared and spoke in support of the application. Appearing in
behalf of the adjacent property owner to the west was Laverne Taylor.
AGENDA ITEM IV. OTHER/RESOLUTIONS:
Chairman Goehringer offered a motion to close the written portion of the following
applications/hearings:
! Appl. No. 5068—GLENN and CHRISTINE DAWSON: 150 Broadwaters Road,
Cutchogue; 104.40-8. The hearing was also concluded 6/20.
Appl. No. 5072-J. CALLIS,ET AL. (James Miller property). The hearing was also
concluded 6/20.
This Resolution was duly adopted(3-0). (Members Oliva and Horning were absent.)
There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time,
the Chairman declared the Meeting adjourned. The Meeting was adjourned at
approximately 8:10 p.m.
