Dear Mr. McVann:
Please let this confirm the following action taken by the
Southold Town Planning Board, Monday, December 22, 1986 .
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board, following a
field inspection, approve the lot line change for Francis F.
Adams located at Fishers Island as shown on the survey dated
September 23 , 1986 , subject to receipt of amended surveys showing
a re-configuration of the lot - line to obtain more even lots and
indicating the gravesites on the property.
Upon receipt of three amended surveys in accordance with the
above resolution, the Chairman will endorse the surveys.
If you have any questions, please don' t hesitate to contact

ADAMS SUBDIVISION
Gentlemen:
Please find enclosed an application and 12 copies
.of the survey showing a proposed lot line change with
regard to the property of Francis Fiske Adams,Jr. , situ-
ate Fishers Island, Southold, New York.
The total 9 . 64 acres involved in the lot line
change application herein, has belonged to the Adams
family for more than 30 years and shows on the Olmstead
Map as 3 home sites and some additional property with
no lot number designation. The surveyor has incorporated
the none designated property into his revised lot plan
in order to give road access to Lot #3 , which is land
locked on the Olmstead Map. I believe that there is
precedent in Southold Town for treating this type of
situation as Lot Line Change since we are starting out with
3 buildable lots (homesites) and ending up with 3 buildable
lots (homesites) and therefore are not subdividing in the
ordinary sense. All of the lots created hereunder are
fully conforming lots in every regard.
I shall of course appear at your planning board
meeting on December 22, 1986 to further explain the
application and to answer any questions you may have.
