Klipp at Greenport, on Thu_rsdday, January 28, 1954. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Albertson, Clark and_ Demarest; Superintendent of Highways Price; Towh Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. At-8 o 'clock P.M. pursuant to provisions of Section 142 of the Highway Law and Section 103 of the General Munic= ipal _Law and a notice having been duly published as pro- vided in such Section, sealed bids were opened to furnish the Southold Town Highway Department the following equip- ment or equal: Two International five ton Dump Trucks , (One i946 International Dump Truck must be taken in trade as part payment on the above mentioned Trucks) , One new Highway Box-Type Spreader Model W9 cu. Yd.' Cap. , One second hand Diamond T Truck Chassis to be used with the Spreader . The following bids were submitted: Long Island Produce & Fertilizer Co.-Two 1954 Model 192 , International Dump Trucks at ,a total price of $14,468.o0. Trade-in allowance on one 1946 International Dump Truck- $1,668.00, Net Delivery price $12 800.00. Long Island. Produce & Fertilizer Goo.-Dne used Diamond T Truck Chassis for a total price of $1 500.00. H. O.Penn Machinery Co.-One new Highway Box-Type Spreader Model W. , 9 cu. yd. Dap. for a total price of $3 ,067.00. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconded by Justice Albertson: WHEREAS the Town Su erintendent of Highways did on the 12 day of January, 1954,, duly recommend the purchase of certain equipment pursuant to the provisions of Section 142 of the Highway Law, and a notice of such recommendation has been duly published as provided in such section. NOW THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law :the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from L.I. Produce & Fertil- izer Company, Southold, L. I , , with the approval of the County, Superintendent of Highways : Two 1954 Model 192 International Dump Trucks , 406" Piston Dis . , 154 Brake H. P. , Replacable sleeves & Pistons , . 3 man cab, Heater & Defroster , 10.00 x 20 - 12 Ply Tires, Signal lights , Reflectors & Flares , Right hand mirror , Heavy duty front ec R,ar Springs , Garwood Model W-1,2 H. D. 4 to 5 Yd body, Cab Protector & painted to match truck. for a total of ourteen Thousand Four Hundred .Sixty�eight Dollars ($14,46 .00) , .deli.vered at Peconic , L. I. , N.Y. and to be deliverdd on or about February 15, 1954. The Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized, subject to the approval of the County Superintendent of Highwa s , to surrender to the above named vendor One 190 International Dump Truck as part payment for the above equipment to be purchased. The terms of payment will be as follows : Trade-in allowance $ 1,668.o0 Check drawn on Machinery Fund 12 800.0o Total $ 1 ,4 .00 Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Albertson, Clarkand Demarest and Superintendent of Highways Price. 120 Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson: WHEREAS the Superintendent of Highways did on the 1£ day of January, 19�54, duly recommend the purchase of certain equipment pursuant to the provisions of Section 142 of the Highway Law, and a notice of such recommendation has been duly published as provided in such section. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from the L. I. Produce & Fert- ilizer Co. , Southold, L. I . , with the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways One used Diamond T. Truck Chassis , Model 420, two to three ton chassis for a total price of One thousand five hundred Dollars, ($1, 500.00) delivered at Peconic, L.I. , N.Y. , and to be delivered on or about February 10, 1954. The terms of pay- ment will be as follows : Check drawn on Machinery Fund $l 500.00 Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor K_lipp; Justices Albert- son, Clark and Demarest; and Supt . of Highways Price. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law the Town ouperintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from H. 0. Penn Machinery Co. with the approval of the �'ounty Superintendent of Highways : One New Highway Box-Type Spreader , Model W, 9 Cu. Yd. , Cap. 13 H. P. Gas Engine, Built in Clutch, Electric Statter , Ganerator , Battery case & Cable 24" Rubber over chain con- veyor , V-Type baffle plates around disc, engine cover & hood. (not mounted.) , for a total of Three Thousand sixty-seven & 00/100 Dollars ($3 )o67.00) , delivered at Mineola , L. I. , N.Y. , and to be delivered on or about February 15, 1954. The terms of payment will be as follows : Check drawn -on Machinery Fund $3 067.00 Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Albert- son, Clark and Demarest, Supt. of Highways Price.
