14TEET ING' OF JANUARY 26 , 1954
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor
Norman Ee; Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, January 26, '1954.
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tithill, .Albertson,
Clark and Demarest; Superintendent of Highways Price, Town
Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
A bill of the Fishers Island Ferry District in the amount
of $333 .13 was audited by the Board.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Fishers Island Ferry District Bill in
the amount of $333 .13 be and the same is hereby ordered
paid.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
.Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be
and hereby are duly approved as read.

RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this
Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Normanc'.E .
Klipp at Greenport , on Tuesday, February 16, 1954, at 1:30 PM.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill ,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
John Sherwood presented to the Board for its approval a
Map of Kennewood for sub-division purposes , property of
Southold Developement C rporation, at Southold.
Moved by Justice Albertso ; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That pursuant to Section 335 of the Real Prop-
erty Law, the Town Board does hereby approve the Map of
Kennewood for sub-division .purposes , situated at Southold,
Token of Southold, Suffolk "ount�T, New York, owned and de-
veloped by the Southold Developement Corporation.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
The following Bond was presented to the Board for its approval.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Bond No. 0 5-531-132, issued by the American
Surety Company in the sum of $1,000.00, on behalf of E.
Perry Edw9rds be and the same is hereby approved as to its
form, sum, manner of execution and sufficiency df surety
therein.

Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
I , Harold D. Price, Superintendent of Highways of the Town
of Southold, do hereby recommend to the Town Board of the
Town of Southold the purchase of the following: Two Model
L190 International 5 ton Dump Trucks or :Equal, dne new
Highway Box-Type Spreader , Model W 11 foot body and 9 C .
Yd. Cap. or Equal, One second-hand Diamond T Truck to be
used with the spreader.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESOLVED: That a special meeting of the Southold 'Town Board
will be held at the office of Supervisor NormanN. Klipp at
Greenport, on Thursday, January 28, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. to
receive sealed proposals for the purchase of certain equip-
ment for the Town Highway Department , which the Superintend-
ent of Highways has recommended.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways be authorized
to purchase from Motorola Communications and Electronics,
Inc. , Chicago , Ill. , One T41G-11A Mobile Transmitter & Receiver
with M-66 Accessory Groupe at a cost of $491.00.

Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and .Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways be authorized
to purchase from George Malvese & Co. , Garden City, N.Y. ,
One Sargent Model X2 Snow Plow, for a total cost of$895.00

Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the 6outhold Town Board approves the action
of the Commissioners df the Fishers Island Ferry District
on entering into a contract with John Kaletchitz for the
transportation of mail from the U. S . Post Office and Rail-
road Depot at New London, Connecticut, to the John' s Street
Dock at New London, Connecticut, for a period from January
1 , 1954. through December 31, 1954 at . a rate of forty-five
Dollars ($45.00) per month.

Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approve the action
of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District
on .entering into a contract with the Fishers Island Farms ,
Inc . for the transportation of mail between the Fort Wright
Dock and the Fishers Island Post Office, for a period from
January 1, 1954 through December 31 , 1954 at a rate of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approve the action
of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District
on entering into a contract with Johnson and Williams for
accounting services for the period January 1, 1954 up to
and including December 31 , 1954, at Forty-five Dollars
($45.00) per day for services rendered examining accounts
in the office of Johnson and Williams , and Fifty Dollars
(�50.00) per day for services rendered examining accounts
in the office of the Fishers Island Ferry District at
Fishers Island, New York.

Albertson, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approve the action
of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District
on entering into a contract with the Interstate Navigation
Company for a Bare Boat Charter of the Sea Hawk for a period
from January 25, 1954 to. January 28, 1954, both dates in-
clusive, with the privilege df an extension of the period
not to exceed 30 additional days.
Vote of ;Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill,
Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
Dr. Paul Diefenbacher requested a street light be installed
on Route 25 just east of Wells Avenue in Southold.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Town lerk be and he hereby is directed
to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install one
additional aerial street Tight in the "outhold Light District
said light to be placed on Pole #751 on Route 25, east of
Wells Avenue, Oouthold, N.Y,

Albertson, Clark and Demarest.
