HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-05/05/1953 MEETING 09 MAY 51 1953 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, May 5, 1953 . The meeting was called to order at 1:.30 P.M. with the follow- ing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry Tuthill, Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town concluding the audit work at 2 o 'clock P.M. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Calrk. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport' on Tuesday, May 26, 1953 at 1:.30 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justiees Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be authorized to instruct the Chief of Police to order all constables of the Town of Southold Police Department to attend the Police Training School to be held at Riverhead, N. Y. during the month of June, 1953. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of April be accepted by the Board and placed on file. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark. Dr. Theodore Marasin requested a street light be placed in front of his residence at Cutchogue. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Albertson: RESOLVED:: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install one additional -100 cp aerial street light on pole #119. 5 in the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Lighting District in front of the residence of Dr. Theodore Marasin on Route 25 in Cutchogue. Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED: That General Bills in the sum of $10,216.47, Lighting District Bills in the Sum of $19248.40 Fishers Island Ferry District Biller in the sum of $7?806.07, Fishers Island Refuse and Garbage District Bills 6n the sum of $13. 74, be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Vote of Town Board; Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark. Adjournment was at 5 P. M. Ralph P. Booth Town Clerk
