The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor
Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, April 21, 1953•
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark: Town Superintendent .of Highways Price,
Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth®
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of th-e previous meeting be and
hereby are duly approved as read,
.Vote of Town Board: .Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry,
Tuthill, Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at
Greenport, on Tuesday, May 5, 1953 . at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry,
Tuthill , Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
WHEREAS , it is the intention of�(,the Town Board of the Town
of Southold to establish a Recreation Project and
WHEREAS , the Town of Southold is about to submit an applic-
ation for such a project to the New York State Youth Commiss-
ion for its approval and if approved, to apply subsequently
to the State of New fork for partial reimbursement of funds
expended on said project , as provided by Chapter 556 of the
Laws of 1945 as amended:.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That such application is in
all respects approved and Norman E . Klipp, Supervisor , is
hereby- directed and authorized to duly execute and to pre-
sent said application .te the New York State Youth Commission
for its approval. This resolution shall take effect immedi-

Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry,
Tuthill , Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS , THE Fishers Island Garbage and Refuse District was
heretofore duly established according to the provisions of
Article 12 of the Town Law, and
WHEREAS , it is the considered opinion of the members of the
Town Board of the Town of Southold that it is in the best
interests of the Town of Southold to provide a separate
board of Commissioners for the Fishers Island Garbage and
Refuse District and to make the provisions of Article 13
of the Town Law applicable to said district, and
WHEREAS , the Legislature of the State of New York, by Chapter
368 of the Laws of 1953 , has provided that the Town Board
may accomplish the foregoing by the adoption of a resolution
subject to a permissive referendum,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapter 368 of the Laws of 1953 , and subject to
a permissive referendum, there shall be a separate board of
three Commissioners for the Fishers Island Garbage and Refuse
District and that the provisions of Article 13 of the Town
Law shall be applicable to said district.
Vote of Town Roard: .Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry,
Tuthill, Albertson and Clark.
Whereupon Supervisor Klipp declared the foregoing resolution
duly adopted.
