A letter was received from Suffolk County executive advising the Town
Board that certain property was available in Silvermere 'area for a future
marina or beach facilities, the cost of acquisition of land to. be -$95,000.
This same property was offered to the Town some time ago and discussed .
by the Board at great length. At the present time the feeling of -the
Board is that inasmuch as this is a' swamp area with much ,of it being clay,
the cost to make it usable to the public would be too great either.- on
a Town or County basis.
