The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Lester M. Albertson; Councilmen Grathwohl and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, the Huntington Coach Corp. has filed with the Town Bca rd an app- lication to enable it to operate the bus portion of a coordinated rail=bus service through the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, pursuant to the provisions of Section 64, Subdivision 7, ' of the Town Law in the matter of the application of the said Huntington Coach Corp. , for the right, fran- chise, permission or consent to operate an omnibus line on and over the street, highways and public places in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and that said hearing be held on the 28th day of November, 1961 at 7:30 P.M. on said day at the Supervisor ' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport; N.Y. , and BE IT FURTHER RESODJED: That the Town Clerk cause notice of such hearing to be published d)nce in the Suffolk Times, the official newspaper, at least ten days before said hearing. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park Dist- rict has duly petitioned this Town 'Board, pursuant to Chapter 763 of the Laws of 1960, to call a public hearing on the question of 'authorizing, on behalf of said District, the acquisition of the real property hereinafter described, and the original improvement and embellishment thereof for use as a bathing beach, including a building and appurtenant equipment, and WaIEREAS, ,apt is now desired to call said public hearing, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, Suffolk County, New York, as follows: 1. Section 1. A meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, shall be held at the Cutchogue School house, Depot Lane, Cutchogue, in the Town of Southold, N.Y. in said Town on the 29th day-. of November, 1961, at 7 o'clock P.M. Eastern Standard Time, to conduct a public hearing for the purpose described in the preambles hereof, at which time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard. Albertson, Supervisor, be and he hereby is direct- ed to enter into a contract to purchase one Gas Heater for the Dog Pound ,at a cost of $225 .00 and two bottles of gas at a :cost of $8.75 each. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson;- Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Jusitces Tuthill and Clark. .,The hearing on the preliminary budget was opened by the Supervisor at . 3: 30 P.M. The Supervisor read the call of the Hearing and inquired if there were any persons present who wished to be heard in favor or against Y : the preliminary budget as compiled.
