October 17, 1960
A meeting of the Southold Town Board of 'Appeals Was
held at the call of the. Chairman at 11:30 A.M. , Monday,
October 17, 1960 at the Town Clerk Office, Main Road,
Southold, New York.

There were presents Messrs, Robert W. Gillispie, Jr
ChalAan,, Robert Bergen, and Charles Grigonis, Jr.
Absents Messrs. Herbert Rosenberg, and Mr. Serge
Doyen, Jr.
On motion of Mr, Bergen, seconded by Mr. Gillispie, and
carried,, the Board of Appeals set 7:30 P.M. (E_D.S.'-T. ) ,
Thursday, October 27, 1960, Town Clerk Office, Main Road,
Southold, New York, as time ,and place for hearing upon
application of Rensselaer G. Terry, Jr ,,. Main Street,
Southold, New York, a/c Madeleine R. Armstrong, 3817
Harrison Street, Washington,, 1). C, j for a variance in
accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, Sec-
tion 303,.. and Article X, Section 1000A, for permission to
reduce frontage and use as a single lot, property located
on the south side of North Road, Southold, New York, and
Southold Town, Board of Appeals -2- October 17, 1960
bounded north by other land of ,Madeleine R. Armstrong, east
by Wenzel„ south by Arshamomaque Pond, and west by private
right-of-way. Applicant also requests recognition of access
in accordance with State of New York Town Law Section 280A.
Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr, Gillispie, Mr. Bergen,# and
Mr. Grigonis.

and seconded by Mr_ Grigonis. Application for a variance in
accordance with the Zoning Ordinance„ Article 111, Section 303,
and Article X, Section 1000A+ .for permission to reduce frontage
and use as a single lot, property located on the south side of
North Road, Southoldr New York# and bounded north by William A.
Richmond, east by Wenzels south by other land of Madeleine R.
Armstrong# and West by other land of Madeleine R. Armstrong.
Applicant also requests recognition of access in accordance with
State of New York Town Law Section 280A.
Vote of the Board. Ayes.- Mr. Gillispie; Mr. Bergen, and
Mr. Grigonis..
Resolution was offered by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr.
Bergen, and carried, setting 7:50 P.M. (E.D.S.T. ) # Thursdays

York as time and place for hearing upon application of George
Lind, a/c Louis Lind, Sound View Avenue, Southold, New York, for
a special exception in accordance with Article III,,. Section 3060
for permission to reduce setback on a corner lot. -Location of
property: northwest corner of intersection of Sound View
Avenue, Southold, New York, bounded north by Emil Ball, east
by Sound View Avenue,, south by Sound View Avenue., and west by
R. F. Grattan.
Vote of the Board: A+. - Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen., and
Mr. Grigonis.

Grigonis, and carried, setting 8: 15 P-M_ (E.D.S.T,. ), Thursday-*
October 27, 1960, Town Clerk Office, Main Rca d-*. Southold, New
York as time and place for hearing upon application of Harry D.
Horton, 302 March Boulevard, Phillipsburg New Jersey, for a
variance in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article III,
Section 300, Subsection 10,_ for permission to erect and maintain
real estate sign with reduced setback, Location of property:
south side Indian Neck Lane., Peconic, New York, bounded north
by Indian Neck Lane,, east by P. H. Horton, south by Bay, and
west by A. Kull and P. Horton.
Vote of the Board: des:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Bergen,_ and
Mr. Grigonis.
It was further RESOLVED that legal notice of hearing be
published in the official newspaper under date of October 20, 1.960_
Vote of the Board: Ayes:,- Mr.. Gillispier. Mr. Bergen,_ and
Mr. Grigonis.
Meeting adjourned at 12: 00 Noon.
