A regular meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals
was held 7: 00 P.M, ,w Thursday, March 24.,. 1960♦_. at the Town
Clerk Office, Main Road,_ Southold,, New York.
There were present: Messrs.. Robert W, Gillispie,, Jr.,
Robert Bergen,, Herbert Rosenberg,_ Charles Grigoniss. Jr.R,
and Serge Doyen. Jr.
Also presents Mr. Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector.
Upon motion of Mr. Grigonis# seconded by Mr. Doyen,,-and
carried, the Board of Appeals set 7:30 P+M,,,.. Thursday, April
7;, 1960w Town CLerk Office,, Main Road#. Southold,-New York, as
time and place for hearing upon application-of Eugene Mazzaferro,-
a/c Catholic War. Veterans,-,. Post *730,. Greenportt New Yo3k r for
a variance in. accordance with the Zoning Ordinance,, Article II,,
Section. 202, for permission to operate a temporary amusement
enterprise in an "A" Residential--A(jricultural District. Location
of property: east side Moorels Lane.,. Greenport,'. New York,- bounded
north by Village. of Greenport Municipal Light Plant, west by
Moore l's Lane#,_ south by H. L. Kalin and A. Herzogk, Jr, , and east
by A. Herzogs. Sr.. and Leo Sled j eski.

Grigonis, and carried; the Board of Appeals set 7z40 P.M_ ,

of Richard Powell, Main Street, Greenportr, New York,. for a
special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance,- Article
111s Section 306s for permission to reduce front yard setback .on
a corner lot.. Location of property; northwest corner of Robinson
Roads Greenports'" New Yorks: bounded north by Truman Cook,.- east by
Robinson Road*. south by Robinson Road., and west by William Bie,F

The minutes of the meeting of March 10,. 1960s: on motion of
Mr. Rosenbergs_, seconded by,Mr. Grigonis,, and carried*_ were approved
as submitted.

Mr. Robert Rothman,_ Southold, New Yorkt, came in for an
informal discussion with the Board relative "tb a new sign for
Rothman"-s Department Stores- Main Street,, Southold#, New York,
The Board of Appeals then reviewed the appeal of Joseph
Gutierrez., Jr,& for a variance' under Article III,;, Section 3000-
_.Subsection 7k for permission to reduce setback -on a private
detached garage... It was decided that a letter should be forwarded
to Mr. Gutierrez advising him that an attached- garage is considered
part of the present building provided the sided rear and front yard
requirements. of the Ordinance are met.. and returning his fee check
in the event he wished to reconsider his application. However-,: it
was pointed out that should he wish to proceed with.his appeal he
may return the check and the board will set a date for hearing and
publication of the public hearing will be ordered and he will be
notified in the customary manner..
The next meeting of, the Southold Town Board of Appeals will
beheld 7r 30 PM.,e. Thursday,,_ April 7,t_ 1960 at the Town Clerk Office,
Main Roads Southolds. New, York.
The meeting adjourned at' 8z00 P*M. and the Board of Appeals met
