A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Budding
Inspector w~th the following; for new buildings or new use.
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2 Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage d~sposal--(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electncal installation from Board of F~re Underwriters
4. Commercial buddings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and simpler buildings and
installations, a cerhficate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed s~te plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buddings and "pre~existing"
land uses:
1 Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural

a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector, with 3 soft of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this application.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit v
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy ivy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or

After investigation and inspection the Board finds
that applicant requests permission to build and operate
an automobile body repair shop on the north side of
MaimRoad, Laurel Dist. ~1I, ~4attituck Post Office,
New York. The findings of the Board are that this is
a favorable location for this type of operation as it is
bounded by industrial property on the north and west and
business property to the east; aaa across the street there
is a gas station. The Board agrees with the reasoning of
tha applicant.
The Board finds that the public convenience and ~lfare
aaa Justice will be served an~ the legally eshablishea or
pe=mitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining uss
districts will not be permanently or substantially injured,
and tho spirit of the Ordinanco wall be observed.

Entrance and exit driveways shall have an unrestricted
width of not less than 12 feet and not ~ore than 3O
feet and shall be located not less than 10 feet from
any property line, and shall be so laid out as to
avoid the necessity of any vehicle backing out across
any right of way.
