SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 25, :1988
A Special Meetinq of the Southold Town Board was held at 1 :30 P.M. , Tuesday,.
October 25, 1988, at t e Southold Town Hall, Main Road, South o d, New York.
Present: Supervisor Francis J. Murphy
Justice Raymond W. Edwards
Councilwoman Jean W. Cochran
Councilman George L. Penny IV
Councilwoman Ruth D. Oliva
Councilwoman Ellen M. Larsen
Town Clerk Judith T. Terry
I.-Moved by Councilwoman Cochran, seconded by Councilwoman Oliva, it was
,RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby accepts and approves
the Memorandum of Agreement, dated October 25, 1988, and executed by the rep-
resentatives of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc. , Southold Town Unit, as
authorized by the membership, .and Charles E. Graves, negotiator for the Town; and
be it further
RESOLVED that Supervisor Francis J. Murphy be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to execute the 1988-1989 contract between the Civil Service Employees
Association, Ind. , Southold town Unit, and the Town of Southold.
I.,-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
This resolution was declared duly .ADOPTED.
2.-Moved by Councilwoman Oliva, seconded by Councilman Penny, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Towi _of Southold hereby appoints Irene
Stulsky as a part-time Clerk Typist in the Office of the Assessors, effective
October 31, 1988, 17-1/2 hours per week, $6.50 per hour.
2.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
3.-Moved by Councilman Penny, seconded by Councilwoman Cochran,- -it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and
directs Supervisor Francis J . Murphy to execute a professional services agreement
between the Town of Southold and Business Records Corporation for the re-
certification of the following products, migrated to the AS/400 computer system by
the Town, at a cost-of $1,689.00, to be paid in a, :lump sum: Payroll (DLH) , Accounts
Receivable, Fixed Assets (D LH) , Cash Receipts, Building Permits, Parcel.
3.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
4.-Moved by Councilman Penny, seconded by Councilwoman Oliva, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby amends their
Resolution No. 27, adopted on October 18, 1988, accepting the proposal of GNS
Contracting Corporation, Mattituck, for the installation of reverse.osmosis .treat-
ment units in the Southold Town Hall, to include one (1).,zadditional cooler at a
cost of $20.00 per month, making the total cost $102.50 per month, which includes
installation and regular filter changes.
4--Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
S.-Moved by Councilwoman Oliva, seconded by Councilwoman Cochran, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby declares that
effective immediately the gates of the Landfill shall only be open from 7. 00 A.M.
to 12 Noon on the following days: Eve of New Year's Day, Eve of Thanksgiving,
Eve of Christmas.
5.- Vote of the Town Board :. Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
Moved by Councilwoman Cochran, seconded by Councilwoman Oliva, it was
RESOLVED that this Town Board meeting be and hereby is adjourned at 1: 40 P.M.
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Larsen, Councilwoman Oliva, Council-
man Penny, Councilwoman Cochran, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Murphy.
